Anna University was established on 4th September 1978 as a unitary type of University. It offers higher education in Engineering, Technology and Allied Sciences that are relevant to the current needs of the society. Besides promoting research and disseminating knowledge gained there from, it fosters cooperation between the academic and industrial communities.
Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) was started in 1949 by Shri. C. Rajam with a vision to provide a strong technical base in various Engineering disciplines for independent India to compete at par with the International community. Merged with Anna University in the year 1978, MIT has played an important role in the growth and development of many sectors in the country by introducing several new specializations in the field of engineering. The Institute is a part of Anna University and is known for producing eminent scientists like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Dr. K. Sivan. The conference aims to bring leading academicians and researchers to submit their original contributions in Advanced Computing and Information Technology to address complex and critical problems in Engineering and Technology.
Department of Computer Technology, MIT Campus Chennai was established in the year 2010. The department offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral programs in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. The department has state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities that help students and research scholars acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in rapidly evolving technologies. The faculty members are experienced and dedicated to providing quality education while enabling students to undertake research and development work.
